Our Managing Director Kim MacKenney brings many years of experience in childcare to our company Heavenly Childcare.
On a personal note, Kim is a mother to four now grown up children and has one grandson.
Before coming to Heavenly Childcare Kim studied for two years to gain her NNEB in which she achieved a distinction. She then went on to work for many years in education, specialising in special needs and in particular supporting children with Autistic Spectrum disorders. During this time Kim also managed a large team of Teaching Assistants and gained qualifications with the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Her career has also included teaching childcare, first aid and manual handling training in further education colleges and has also worked within the residential side of childcare. Kim holds The Certificate in Recruitment practice from the REC. She is a paediatric first aider and offers early year’s first aid training to childcare professionals and parents, please see our web site for further information on these courses (essential for Ofsted registered childcare professionals)
